Steet Fighter X Tekken Announced

Street Fighter vs Tekken. The king of 2d fighting vs the king of 3d. Honestly, I never thought I’d see the day. But here it is, Street Fighter X Tekken, (pronounced Street Fighter Cross Tekken) a collaborative effort between Capcom and Namco.  This particular version is developed by Capcom’s  Street Fighter 4 team and is also built on that very same engine.  Here in the gameplay video below, we see Ryu fighting off against Kazuya Mishima. Featuring what appears to be an easier combo system and new tag in Ultras.

Also announced is Namco’s own effort in this cross over called Tekken X Street Fighter. Which has been is said to use a 3d fighting engine. No other details on that title have been announced so far but keep an eye open. It’s likely to be shown in the near future.  Both games are said to be in very early development.
