Fans of Remedy Entertainment's psychological thriller Alan Wake will definitely be pleased today, as the game receives some extra playtime with the arrival of the DLC chapter "The Signal" on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Taking place almost immediately after the main campaign's ending, players again take control of Alan Wake, who is still in Bright Falls, following a mysterious GPS signal that appears on his phone. Of course, the road to your destination won't be a walk in the park, and you should expect to have some more brutal encounters with The Taken. The nice thing about this DLC? For those of you who purchased a new copy of Alan Wake, the DLC is free of charge, so long as you have the token card that was included in the game's case; for those of you who purchased it used (or acquired the game in some other way), you need only 560 Microsoft Points to delve back into the world of Alan Wake, so it's not all bad.
Remedy has promised that additional DLC chapters will be released throughout the year that will bridge the gap between the game's ending and a possible sequel, so hopefully the wait isn't too long for either case! Below is a trailer for "The Signal" that you can watch to get an idea of what the DLC chapter is about:
